New arrival to begin work on filière of biomass valorization

Lorena arrives from Chile and joins the SAGID+ team as a PhD student.

We are very pleased to welcome Lorena as part of the SAGID+ Chair. Here is her introduction:

“My name is Lorena Espinoza. I am a chemical civil engineer with a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Santiago, Chile (USACH). My background includes experience in assessing sustainable waste management strategies and alternative energy production processes through life cycle assessment and systems dynamics. I have participated in research projects focused on optimizing waste valorization methods and reducing environmental impacts in urban and industrial contexts.

Within the SAGID+ Chair, I will be working on Axis 3, dedicated to biomass valorization. My PhD research is titled ‘Modeling the economic, environmental, and societal impacts of biomass valorization from roadside vegetation.’ For this research, I aim to assess the environmental impacts of roadside biomass valorization by integrating ecosystem services and life cycle analysis.”

Welcome in the team Lorena !
