Launch of work on artificial intelligence
Mathias begins his PhD research today as part of the SAGID+ Chair
The SAGID+ team welcomes a new member, Mathias Couraud. Mathias is starting his PhD today, with the objective of developing a recommendation system to guide policy-making for the maintenance of roadside green areas. Here is his introduction:
My name is Mathias Couraud, and I am an engineer in data and artificial intelligence (AI) with a degree from ECE Paris. Over the course of my career, I worked at Dassault Systèmes on the HomeByMe product, where I developed an AI-powered image filtering solution for a search engine. Later, during my final internship at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) in Cadarache, I contributed to an anomaly detection project for an experimental device within the ITER project. Finally, my capstone project focused on using AI techniques to solve complex astrophysics equations.
Deeply passionate about recent advancements in AI, I am joining the SAGID+ chair today to work on Area 2: new strategic orientation tools and decision-making support. My doctoral research will focus on designing a decision-support system for the sustainable management of roadside green areas.
Welcome, Mathias!*
