Overview of sustainable maintenance practices implemented in french department

Abstract

This report aims to understand and disseminate how regions implement environmentally friendly maintenance practices and the impacts they may have. It seeks to catalog and promote initiatives to evolve roadside maintenance practices undertaken by seventeen metropolitan French departments, including differentiated mowing, waste management, control of invasive plants, and preventive actions against flood risks. By adopting these practices, road infrastructure managers aim to proactively contribute to the protection of local ecosystems and the safety of citizens.
